Description: Tambo Matsés Ecolodge is a community-led and managed project, which opened to the public in 2013. Staying at the solar-powered lodge, along the upper Galvez River, provides the opportunity to explore some of the more isolated portions of the Matses National Reserve. Rare bird, mammal, and plant species are found in abundance, including ocasional jaguars spotted swimming across the river by the lodge.
